With the development of advertising materials, cold lamination film has been widely acknowledged and plays an important role in protecting graphic from damage and creating vivid 3D performance. They have been applied in indoor and outdoor advertising, photo albums, posters, office documents,note book, drawing works etc.

In order to help our customer to make better use of cold lamination film, several frequent questions and possible solutions after laminating are suggested as below :

Q & A for Graphic lamination

Problem 1 : Blurry graphic after laminating

causes

1. Improper control of laminator pressure , which is too low to fit the lamination film with the picture substrate closely .

2. Graphic printing media is low quality with blurry printing performance.

3. The glue grams of lamination film is not enough and cause bad banding force, especially in the low winter temperature.

Solutions

1. Adjust the lamination pressure of both sides equally to the same distance.

2. Check the quality of graphic printing media to confirm whether it is clear and smooth. If still in this case, put the laminated graphics under the temperature 25 centi-degree within 3 hours.

3. Adjust the surrounding temperature around 24-26 centi-degree , with 50%-60% Relative Humidityto improve the glue bonding force and bettter choice high quality lamination film .

Problem 2 : White dots after laminating

1. Poor glue bonding force

2. Dust pollution on the graphic surface

3. Damp damage

Solutions

1. Adjust the Surrounding temperature around 24-26centi-degree and choose high quality cold lamination film with good last glue bonding force.2. Purify the printing environment.3. Keep the relative Humidity around 50%-60% and protect graphics from damp by air conditioner, heater etc.Problem 3 : Bubble problem after laminating

1. The glue is not mature2. The surface ink isnot dry3. PVC film too stiff and thickSolutions1. Unwrap the pacakage of cold lamination film and put it into the air around 2-5 days to mature the glue.2. Dry and heat the printing graphic . Especially in winter, more time needed for dry the pictures .

3. Adjust the the Surrounding temperature around 24-26 centi-degree to soften the PVC film.

4. Do not hurry to roll up the laminated picture until the graphic has been well attached to cold lamination film after 45 minutes.

Problem 4: Edge shrinkage

1. Because of the shrinkage feature of PVC film, we sometimes met with edge shrinking problem,especially in hot summer. The reasonable limit ofshrinkage is 2mm within 0.5 year.2. Improper pressure of laminator3. Heat source damage

Solutions

1. Use thelamination film within the valid time and store it in package.

2. Do not over-stretch the PVC film when laminating and adjust the laminator pressure.

3. Avoid any heat source to contact the PVC directly.
